Unhappy BCM50 problems

hello everybody,

I have installed several BCM50's already. And there are some several problems that occured. Maybe some of you have encountered such, it is a good help if you could tell me on how you resolved these:

1. 2 sets of digital phones connected to a DSM32+ doesnt ring when called. The LED of the T7000 phones just blinked but no ringing sound is heard. And when you pick up the handset, you have to press the hold button in order to answer the caller. I tried replacing the phne set but the problem is still there. I also tried rebooting the BCM main and exansion units but it also havent resolved the problem.

2. Long distance calls sometimes doesnt work, when you dial 0 + areacode + number, even if you havent finished dialling the number, a continuous ringing sounbd is heard.

3. Sometimes, the trunklines cannot be accessed. when you dial a code to access the line, it seems to be diconnected. YOu just hear silence.

These are some problems I have encountered. Hope to receive a feedback on you guys. Thanks.

have you though of looking at the feauter codes?? feature 85 means DND (Do Not Disturb) How you will know the difference is that you will have stutter dial tone just dial feature #85 and then the phone will start ringing also look at the volume buttons. What phones do you use??

as for the trunks beaware you have to be carefull when you configure routes you have to check ur absorb lengths this confuses allot of people and you could typically get the silence treatment hehehehe (from the system that is)

yeah patches is important but first check the basics
