Location: Melbourne, VIC Rep Power: 0 ![]() | i2050 Softphone to BCM via Internet. We recently installed a BCM 400 v3.7. Everything is working fine except for i2050 from the internet. Users inside the network are using i2002 IP phones, T7316E's Digital Handsets and i2050 Softphones. However, when the i2050 users are away from the office, they cannot connect to the BCM. On the i2050 the display indicates - "Connection Established. Reintializing..." I have configured the Linux based firewall/router to forward all port 7000 traffic to the BCM Voice VLAN address - 10.200.210.254 The network is segmented as follows: Code: ADSL Modem Linux FW BCM
a --- b c --- d e --- f
Internet -->--| |----->----| |----->----| |
--- --- ---
a = WAN assigned IP
b = 10.1.200.5/24
c = 10.1.200.1/24
d = 10.20.200.251/24
e = 10.20.200.254/24 - BCM Data Network
f = 10.20.210.254/24 - BCM Voice Network Also, I have received very basic training on what to do on the BCM, although I have accounts created that allow me to logon as an admin if need be. Cheers, tkb. | ||||||||

You can look through the documents to find a list or search through the posts, I have never been able to make it work. We always use VPN to the network now, so it's not a real problem for us. | ||||||||

Location: Melbourne, VIC Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hmmm, interesting! I did not think to run a network dump on the sending side. I'll try that tonight and see if more port are indeed needed. VPN is not an option for me at the moment so if this does not work, I might be simply sol! Cheers, tkb. | ||||||||

Location: Melbourne, VIC Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I did a tcpdump on the sending router and only saw packets destined for the company BCM to port 7000. However, the sender not only sent from 5000, but I also from port 51301 and 51302 (or a variation of the last 4 digits) - is this typical? I figured I didn't have to do a thing as the packets would get back whence they originated! | ||||||||
