Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Trouble in offsite voicemail retrieval land I get a call this morning from a customer; "How do I retrieve my voicemails from offsite." You've all had this one. This is a 4ish MICS, PRI, and an early Call Pilot (1.0?, 2.0?). The voicemail was originally a 4 port flash, but the flash crashed (that sounds pretty cool), and was replaced with the CP. I did not install either the MICS or the CP, they call us because they hate the vendors thier out of state corporate office sends out. So, anyway, I say "call in, get the AA or your VM greeting, press **, input MBOX+PSWD#, blah, blah, blah". They call right back and say "It didn't work". My initial reaction is (Dr. Evil voice) "Rrrrrriiiiiiiggggghhhhhttttt". I get the guys DID, call in, get his primary greeting, and sure enough, after the first " * ", I get the ever snotty "Exiting the system, goodbye. click." Tried several times, tried from a land line. Same deal. So enlighten me. I have given these instructions out hundreds of times. I can't remember anyone ever telling me it didn't work. Has this feature recently become programmable (or "turnoffable")? Anyone ever heard of this ? Thanks for your help.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Gophers, this is news to me, I thought it worked straight from the default. Could it just need a reboot??? __________________ Two snips, a snort, a turn, a fly, and a grunt, and it was so simple, like the jitterbug, it plum evaded me!

I tried various *# combinations, but did not have any luck (some day I will take the time to trouble shoot and fix). The easiest solution is: A) to call in on a Auto-Attendant port . The ** will work from AA/CCR. or if other lines are answered 'live' and if you have a CCR tree enabled: B) Be xfer'd manually to voice mail by an inside user. To do this the user will use voice mail transfer (F986) + CCR tree number + #. The caller will hear the CCR 0 path greeting. The caller will then Press ** + Mbox + Pswd + # to log in. This works (luckily we use CCR's on almost all of our CallPilot platform installs). Good luck.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Gecko. I forgot about that, I had trouble with a CP a few years back, and the DSP patch fixed it. It had to do with digit recognition with the auto att. Gophers, you might try this. Can you download the patch? __________________ Two snips, a snort, a turn, a fly, and a grunt, and it was so simple, like the jitterbug, it plum evaded me!

Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I have access to the Nortel site, however, when I went to Support, Call Pilot, Software (this is how I usually find BCM patches) - I got nothing about "DSP". Also did a "search", got this back - No results matched your search query: dsp a7 firmware patch in SUPPORT (searching everywhere except SERVICE REQUESTS) . Can you help me find this DSP patch you speak of ? PS thanks to all for your posts

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | not sure if this will help but i have seen it before. "Return to AA" needs to be set to "y". if this is set to N then you may get that msg. i tried this on my startalk flash system and could not recreate your scenario, don't have a CP to try it on. I have seen that msg "exiting the system, goodbye" and Return to AA was the problem. worth a look at. tim
