Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Corporate Directory on BCM50 Hi Alll. We are looking at using a BCM50 for a small remote office. We currently have Option 81, 61 and 11c's in our network and use a corporate directory generated by a database and pushed via OTM. I know OTM cannot push to the BCM50 per our Nortel sales folks, however they mentioned that it will support a locally generated version from the auto attendent. they also mention being able to possibly manage it via the APPLICATION GATEWAY 1000 for I2004, which we will be using for this site. My question is, has anyone setup a configuration like this that can lend some advice and does the I2004 support corporate directory? Our I2004 that are currently in use for the Option 81c will not provide the corporate directory at all. thanks for your input. Drew

Location: Michigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Drew, If your sites are connected by an IP network, have you considered using an SRG (Survivable Remote Gateway) 50 for your remote site? A special software version of the BCM 50, called an SRG 50, is installed at the remote site. The SRG provides local trunking for local calling, 911 support and survivability but the IP phones at the remote site register to a host site, one of your larger systems. Since the IP phones at the small remote office are registered to a host site they have access to all the same applications including corporate directory. The SRG 50 also provides for local registration of the IP phone at the remote location in the event of a WAN failure. This allows the IP phones at the small branch to call each other and also access the trunks on the SRG to make local and 911 calls. You might want to talk to Nortel or your Nortel partner to explore whether an SRG would be a good solution.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | If you use the application gateway 1000 , the feature should not be called "corporate directory" because you must written the xml application and send it to your IP phone. For me , the corporate directory must be the feature inside the PBX. I2004 support corporate directory feature but you must enable it on the telephone by chaging the CLS to "cpra" and you will see it appear.
