Rep Power: 0 ![]() | MICS 6.1 XC: Door Phones / Hunt Groups Hi gang. We have a weird problem that has caused this customer some security troubles. Customer has 2 exterior doors, one is staff entrance, one is the public entrance. Both of these doors have a Norstar Door Phone with door controllers on them. Public entrance door goes to hunt group 1, and every phone in the building is programmed to have hunt group 1, and this works flawlessly, anybody can answer the door, look at the camera on their computer, and let in a guest and then go up to the entrance and get them, sign them in, etc. Staff entrance door goes to hunt group 2, and only a few phones have hunt group 2 on them. Security, receptionist, and management. These same people that have hunt group 2 also have hunt group 1. Problem: if somebody goes to the staff entrance, which is a secure area, and presses the button, instead of the call ringing on hunt group 2, and therefore only going to those three phones, it somehow ends up appearing on hunt group 1's button on everybody's phone in the building, and so staff think that they are buzzing in somebody at the front door, and they press the button to let them in, etc. But what they have actually done is buzzed somebody into the secure staff area without knowing it. I think that somehow the hunt group 2 is bleeding into hunt group 1. I have checked both hunt groups members, and hunt 1 isn't assigned in hunt 2, nor vice versa. Is it perhaps because some phones have both hunt groups ? Are you allowed to have two hunt groups appearing on one phone ? And if you do have 2 hunt groups on one phone, somehow every other person in the building seems to get the second hunt group coming in on their hunt group 1 button without any reason for this. Anybody else experience this before ? Our next step will be to take hunt group 1 off the three phones that have both hunt groups on them, but if that solves it, we will then have to put an external ringer or something in those offices so that they can also hear hunt group 1 ringing. Very strange. Thanks in advance for anybody's help. dave The Phone Authority Inc. Toronto | ||||||||
