IP set not coming online

We have a customer that has a BCM 3.7. They are implementing 5 IP sets. 1 set at main location and 4 sets at a remote site. The set at the main location is up and working fine, the remote site does not sync up.

We are able to ping the Ip address of the set and out at the remote site we are able to ping the BCM. we have talked to the service provider and there are no ports that they see being blocked.

Tommorrow we are going to try putting a public IP address on the lan2 nic and reprogram the far IP set. hopefully this way we will see if there is a problem with a router or a firewall.

This is My first chance to install any IP sets off premise and any ideas would be appreciated

Tommy

The line provider did find a problem in their sysytem and we are now able to register the sets but the system will not allow voice. all options work and even dials out but no voice communications. the bcm firewall is turned off and the routers that they are going thru are FORTINET units. the t-1 provider at this time can not provide ant QOS if this looks loke one of the problems

Check the manuals, it has been awhile but You have to open up specific ports in the firewalls to allow across networks

Firewall issue

This a probably a firewall issue.

Must allow UTP protocol and also open port 7000 and port 5000.

Tks,

PA

You also have to program the routing in the router of the BCM.
