Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Why I cannot program the PRI, for example, the PRI-A pool to be as Public, and other parameters needed as mentioned in the document? Even on System Programming, I cannot assign an Access Code for pool PRI-A. We want to connect and activate an E1 from the PSTN to be used as outgoing lines for our office. The MICS is rls 7.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Nice answer, but not a nice comment. I just seek help, and it is not dumb thing to ask. Yeah, I am not familiar yet with it that is why I am asking. Is there a workaround so I can implement an outgoing PRI lines without the use of the keycode? If yes, how to do it?

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I wasn't trying to put you down, but some people skip over the obvious. I don't know what your experience is with Norstar's and with your question you seem to have some experience. Sorry to say, but you must have a keycode in order to implement PRI on the Norstar, and there's no way around it. If you look online you can get the best deals. Around $500 is the going rate these days. Be careful with eBay as they sell used keycodes. If you do buy one, let me know and I will take the activation key (this is what you buy) and generate the keycode through the Nortel Keycode Retrieval System (KRS) as you must be a Nortel Partner to get this done. Let me know.. Brewsky

| How much wood would a woodchuck chuck I Agree, you will need the keycode and place it in a safe place, if the system ever crashes, you will need to re-enter the code. also you'll need to make sure the card is set up as PRI and then you need to program routes and destination codes to dial out over the PRI. If and any channels are not in use on the PRI you will also need to disable them., Take your Timing from the CO and inbound need to be Descending and out bound ascending | ||||||||

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Thanks for more information, guys. Can you also verify this on me? Someone told me "you do not need keycode but you must have 6-port combo or clocking card for PRI Card". How true is it? I could not experiment such thing since I don't have 6-port combo right now, but I know on our expansion phase, I need to buy one. But the PRI thing comes first, so I couldn't wait in ordering during expansion. Anyone had done such trick?
