Ok, now make sure the RETURN TO AA is set to YES.. Thats the only way it would disconnect on you...

F983, AA, GRTG, AA, YES.. Please double check..

one way to check to see if RETURN TO AA is set to YES is like this..

Dial into your system, press * (star), enter a valid mailbox number. Once you hear the users greeting, press * (star) again and you should get back to the AA. If it disconnects on you, then the setting hasn't been applied yet.

The exact thing you want done is possible.... but only on the New Call Pilot. On the greeting table screen, there is a "menu repeat key" pull down that can be set to "0", so the customer just goes to the top of the menu when trying to "zero out". It is on the GUI, I don't know if it shows up with F983. I had never tried this until your post, so you taught me something. I am unaware of a way to accomplish this exact thing with the MICS/CICS/NAM/FLASH platforms I will stay tuned to this post for further updates. What exact AA/VM platform is this ?

I do not knwo for sure the exact version and such. I knwo it is a basic Norstar system. We just installed a cinphony II system for call routing. I am thinging that instead of having an AA in the system to push everything to the cinphony system and do the AA there.

i am interested to know if this is even possible with a base system and using AA only.

real dip S%#$

With Cinphony, you almost certainly have a MICS 0x32 phone system and a NAM for VM/AA/CC. As I stated, I am unaware of any way to accomplish "push 0 for the top of the menu" with the NAM. There are some pretty clever folks that contribute to this site, so there may be a workaround that I have never heard of.
