Upgrading MICS - 6.1 or 7.0?

I have a customer who has a MICS 6.1 with a T1, PRI, Service Cartridge and 6 port fiber in MICS, with a 4.0 Nam, 1 trunk module and 3 station modules and a Cinphony ACD. We use the PRI for incoming, the T1 for outgoing and POTS for misc. lines. They are looking at expanding and at a Siemens switch. I was not even aware until recently they were looking, now I have to try and save this job. They are adding approximately 20 more people and have decided they need 2 more T1 or PRI Circuits due to busy signals, first I heard about it.

Here's my thoughts and my questions, remove the Service Cartridge, add a 6 port combo. Install another T1 in the trunk module utilizing them both in Pool A, giving them 46 outbound lines. Keep my PRI for incoming only, and add a couple of station modules.

My question is if I install another T1 in the trunk module, will I be able to Pool these two together giveing me the 46 outbound lines.

Thanks

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember something about being able to use 3 DTI cards around when 6.0 came out.

The T1 card will need to be in it's own Trunk Module. It takes up all the ports with one slot. This will leave you with no fiber ports left. Might be worth the expense to move to XC before you need to.

I found out from Nortel that you need to upgrade to like(6.1) software in XC before you can go to 7.0 XC.
