about 8 sites are connected back to a central nortel opt 51 with a t1
the sites have mostly bcm 3.0 & 3.5
the t1 to each site shares the customer's computer network along with the voip trunks
don't know if voip calls between sites worked flawless at first or not but they are only working at less than 50% now (all sites are affected)
give me some examples some of you may have simular to this if any and
what was done to fix
thanks for replys

I can probably give some suggestions, but could you be more specific about what happens when a VoIP call fails ?

the calls usually ring 3 or 4 rings and then goes to a reorder
but somtimes they are able to complete and can hear called party but they cannot hear you
and then sometimes the conversation is not very good and it is cut off
i feel certain the problem lies in the network but how to pinpoint and fix i don't know

Start with this, post back.
) Codec selection order must match.
2) Codec payloads (711 especially) on ITG card must be set to 30.
3) ITG version must be at least 2.24.26G
4) Silence Compression must be off on both ends or on on both ends.
Silence Compression is called "Voice Activation somethin' or other"
on ITG card. Start with off on both ends unless you have
bandwidth issues.

5) Up to and including BCM 2.5 FP1 node type is set to H.323, 3.0 and higher set to SL-1.
