I have a BCM 400 System. When the system was originally setup we had 30 DIDs. Recently we had our provider add 11 more. I took the DNs 3330 to 3340 and changed them to 3500 to 3510 to match the DNs given. I then changed the received nmber in Target Lines to match the DNS3500 to 3510. I have gone through every setting to make sure they match up with the DIDs that work. Still when I ring the new DIDs from outside I get the auto attendant. From inside the DNs from 3500 to 3510 work as intended. Can anone point me in a direction to something I may have forgotten. Thanks.

Adding a pause in a route call

Maybe problem solved. I talked with the provider. It seems they are sending the 7 digits down the PRI. We think the system doesn't know what to do with the 7 digits and defaults it to the auto attendant. He is going to change it to 4 digits. Should know in a couple of hours if this is the fix.

Make sure your DN's and DID's target lines are not in the same ring group as the auto attendant

Why in the world would any provider/telco think that you would want 7 digits delivered. In all my 30 years in the bidness, I have never had any system looking for 7 digits. Just my .02 worth.

TRUST ME FOR A BCM OR NORTHSTAR YOUR BETTER OFF WITH REC 7 DIGITS, SINCE NEITHER HAVE A DIGIT TRANSLATION TABLE TO CONVERT INCOMING DIGITS TO SOMETHING ELSE IN CASE THERE IS A DIALING PLAN CONFLICT
