How do you get an External line to ring at an internal extension? Currently the external line rings at 2 extensions and we want it to ring at an additional internal extension. I've been through our "Norstar-Plus Modular ICS 2.0 System Coordinator Guide" a few times and only find a few lines that describe this but doesn't have any instructions on how to do it.

Any help appreciated.

IF you can get into config, simply chech the LINE APPEARANCE on the working sets and match it to the set you are after.

I do have access to CONFIG but I don't see LINE APPEARANCE within the menus. Where would it be?

No offense, but if you are a technician, please try to find the manuals (or the CD documentation disk) and look there. The objective here is for you to "learn" how to do it yourself.

If you are an end-user, I suggest you contact a local vendor for assitance.

This forum is to help those that know resolve issues, not to walk someone through how to program a system or make simple changes.

Sorry, but we paid for our knowledge through hard work and long hours. Please try the same. If you come up on an obscure issue, then come on back and let's see if we can help you. But first, RTFM (Read The Freakin' Manual) and learn the system.

Just so you know "Brewsky", I have been through my manual (Norstar-PLUS Modular ICS 2.0 System Coordinator Guide) several times and it makes no mention of "Line Appearance". It does talk about "Line Assignment" and how it can be done in "Configuration programming" & the manual has a Map showing all the Programming headings and menus. But I don't see "Line Appearance" or "Line Assignment" within that Map.
So I was hoping to find some help in this forum.

I can appreciate that you've spent many hours learning this and I have done the same with many Technical issues but I was hoping to find someone who'll share a quick solutiion with me so I can move onto other projects.

To be able to modify line appearances on the sets may require the system installer access login and passwords which can't be aquired here, or in any forum that I know of.
If you can access it through the system admin login, you will be able to go to the set and go to line access, line assignment. If you can't see that, then it will most likely require the installer login.

Under line assignment press show, then enter the ext, press show again, and enter the line. This is where it can be changed. The previous replies were for post 4.0 systems. Give it a try.

Keep in mind the "System Cordinator guide" has end user programming. It does not include line ringing programming. The "installer guide" does provide this information.
