Location: Flint, Michigan Rep Power: 7 ![]() | On a system with phones that have 4 lines on them (not a pool) and say the 3rd line rings, can you set it up so just picking up the handset picks-up that line without having to push the line button? | ||||||||

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | line pickup Darby, as long as the line rings on the phone, all you need to do is pickup the handset to answer it. However, I have seen where people have put the handset cable into the headset jack on the bottom of the phone and then it would require them to push a button to answer any ringing line. It's a system I installed a couple of years ago and I just don't remember that much about it. They did look at where the handset was plugged into and said it is right. I will have to stop over there I guess! | ||||||||

Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Just to hammer home the point Brewsky made, if the line only "appears" (is on a button,but does not ring) the user MUST push the button to answer the line. So, if this is the case, change the line to "Appear and Ring" under individual set programming and the user can just pick up the ringing line.[/code] | ||||||||
