| WTF of the week contnender: Caller Id o*nly displays after auto attendant answers or o*nly after the hand set is picked-up before the auto attendant answers. In other words caller ID only display after auto attendant transfers call to an extension. Telco Features is already set to display number. How do you setup Caller ID to display before and after auto attendant answers? Thank you? | ||||||||

Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | On many Norstar software releases, including some that are not that old, you can only designate 1 extension that "sees" the caller ID before picking up the call. All of the rest of the extensions must pick up first, or have the call transfered by the AA. In other words, there's a good chance the answer is "you can't". Post back with system and software release to confirm. PS, you can program a button with F811 (Call Info) or simply press F811 while a call is ringing and the CLID will display. | ||||||||

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | On what ring does the Auto Att answer? I think you will have to have the line appear and ring on the set you want the CLID on. It is true that the CLID settings vary with the software level. I think on rel 6.0 and back, you set the CLID in line settings. From 6.1 forward, it is set in telco features. __________________ Two snips, a snort, a turn, a fly, and a grunt, and it was so simple, like the jitterbug, it plum evaded me! | ||||||||

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Telco Features Class assignment Show Line:_____ Caller ID set:Y (This needs to be set to "Y" in order for CLID show BEFORE you p/u the call). You must set this for all of your lines that you want CLID to appear on. Try this and let us know if this worked for you. Tim | ||||||||

| Compatibility/Upgrade Issues Follow-up Question. What if a line number on one exentison has to remain set to "Appear" only. Is the only way CLID can display if line on extention is set to "Appear & Ring? If so, is there a work around solution as Caller ID set is skipped after class assignment and shows "call log set"??
