Hello to all,

Have a question about "answer DN's". Specifically, DN 6211
to be added to DN 6210 as an "answer DN" (both D.I.D.s). All well and fine until staff member dials the D.I.D. xxx-xxx-6211 from outside the building to retrieve voicemail messages. When calling xxx-xxx-6211, 6210 will ring three times then goes to 6210's voicemail and not to the correct destinations voicemail 6211.
This occurs only when 6210 is "off hook". When 6210 is "on-hook", calls going to xxx-xxx-6211 will go into 6211's voicemail.

Any input here greatly appreciated.

Thanks much in advance,

You might need to disable forward on budy on the the set that has the answer DN setup.

Sadly on norstar all forwarding settings affect any ringing number on a particular phone.

Try disabling the Forward on Busy setting and see if this works. Calls will still go to voicemail after a certain amount of rings defined in Call Forward No answer

Terminating those target lines on a hunt group has proven to be an effective workaround to the forwarding problem.. YMMV
