I have several BCM 3.6 servers at different locations. I'm having a problem logging in to my newest BCM. When I type in the IP for the server in an Internet window it brings up the BCM menu. I get get into Callpilot but not Configure. When I click on Configure I get to the login screen but no matter what Login/Password I try I get the error message: [Connection Failed] Failed to connect to BCM server.

I've checked all of the settings I can think of but I don't know what the problem could be. I can ping the server (or else I wouldn't be able to get into Callpilot). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I get this when I try to login to our 3.6 units from behind a NAT. I usually have to either get a VPN up and running first and establish static routing or hop on a real public IP address with my workstation.

Sounds like your unified manager is not responding.
Go into Maintenance tools and reset the unified manager server.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the responses. I tried resetting Unified Manger - that didn't work. I haven't forgotten my password as I can get into Callpilot and BRU - I just can't get into configure. I am going to check with networking to find out if they did anything different with the routing.

What BCM type and rls? ie: 1000, 400, 200.

Can you ping BCM, if you can use telnet and see if you can get in that way if you have telnet turned on.

just type telnet xx.xx.xx.xx
user xxxxxxx
passwordxxxxxxx

Ya know, I am having the same issue with three BCM's in a school district. The first one is an EE 2.0 upgd. to 2.5 FP1 installed in the fall of 2000. The other two are BCM 1000 2.5 upgd. FP1 installed the spring of 2002. They have been working fine all this time until 5 months ago, the administrator can only access UM for Telephony by rebooting the units thru telnet, and that only lasts a few hours. Even locally thru the x-over cable, you can't login thru UM and you get the "Connection Failed" message. Changing the LAN 2 IP address didn't resolve the issue. Even resetting the UM server in Maintenance didn't resolve the problem. These are the AAAE and AAAJ platforms that don't seem to be covered under the product advisory's about the capacitor and MSC card problems. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANX.
