Rep Power: 5  Country:   | Hello all, Would anyone be familure with "line appearance" functionality on a Norstar MICS? Would want to display a line on a set - when another DN is off hook. For example: An assistant to the Director would want a line to appear on his or her set to indicate when the Director is off-hook. Thanks in advance Sorry, a bit generic. crossbar50 | ||||||||

Location: Georgia Rep Power: 0 | RE: Line Appearance You can program the Directors DN on the assistants phone as an internal autodial. When the director goes off hook, it will show on her phone. You can also have the directors line as appear only on the assistants set. | ||||||||

Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 Gender:  Country: | The most simple thing would be to pick an available button (Not a line appearance, intercom, or handsfree button), then press Feature *2,press desired button, input the DN of the person you want to "monitor". This button will now be an "Internal Autodial". The person at this phone can use this button to "automatically" intercom call the DN. It will also indicate when the person is using thier phone. The only gotcha on this is if they have really old M series phones (?late 80's, early 90's?) the button will not indicate when the person is on the phone. (Just found that out via experience recently) | ||||||||
