Hi,

Nortel has recently released a new patch addressing quite a few issues with call reporting on BCM 3.6. The patch is RCC 2.1.050 and applying it on the BCM means that the call reporting master client software has to be re-installed on the server PC.

Has anyone done this so far? Does the re-installation keep the existing user settings on the call reporting master client? Is there any back out procedure?

Thanks.

Yes, you must delete the old program from the customers PC first, then turn off that PC, then do the upgrade, restore power to the PC and download and install new program.

Do just like Brewsky says. If you really want to err on the side of caution, make a copy of the CCRDB directory (located in the c:\mysql directory - might be under mysql\data, don't remember right off hand).

There's actually a Nortel "tech tip" bulliten that was released a while back explaining that it's a good idea to back up the CCRDB folder occasionally in case something should happen to the connectio between the RCC server and the BCM - I've had a few instances where some customers have noticed that realtime reports work, but historical reports quit, and there's no way to get the data back unless you have a backup of the CCRDB folder.
