Caller ID with 4.0

Second dialtone has to come from the carrier. If you aren't hearing it, they aren't providing it. That's usually not an issue these days, at least in my region. It used to be that everyone wanted to hear DT right after dialing a "9". That just isn't practical with a more complex dial plan.

I hope that helps!

Actually, 2nd Dial Tone is available on MICS/CICS 6.1 and 7.0. At this point, BCM 3.6 doesn't have it but I believe 3.7 will.

Hi,

What is the current setting in the BCM under 'Services\Telephony Services\Call routing\Routes\Route00x' ('x' is your route)? If it is 'enbloc' change it to 'overlap' and you should get the second dial tone.

You must be running on 3.7 cause that option doesn't show up in 3.6 or older systems.
