Rep Power: 0 ![]() | If the hunt group is set to ring only, and the overflow timer is set higher than the CFNA of the phone(s) it's ringing on, then the call could go to a personal mailbox. A ring only hunt group rings on the intercom keys; and the system can't tell the difference between that and any other call. If you set the hunt group to appear and ring on the phone, then the CFNA of the set is ignored.

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Bug 30 and Bug 35 Thats not true. Any hunt group call will NOT follow any forwarding, CFNA, CFB or hard forward. But, if you want a hunt group to go to someones voicemail box, and you are not using a startalk flash voicemail, you can do the following: 1) set the overflow DN to the voicemail DN with whatever timeout you desire 2) program the users voicemail box with an alternate extension that matches the hunt group DN. The hunt group call will timeout and forward the call to voicemail and the voicemail will see a mailbox that matches the hunt group DN and drop it into that mailbox. Works great and I do it all the time!! Brewsky

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thirsty? You are correct Brewsky, double checked the manuals and CFNA will be ignored - not sure what I was thinking there. It was stuck in my mind that it had to be Appr&Ring. I remember that Appr&Ring was the only way to get CLID to display on the phones when it was ringing.

| My problem is always dealing with companies that want multiple phones to ring and have personal mail boxes assigned. They seem to always want both the AA and their cfna set to 4 rings. So, im thinking i would assgin the lines to ring on hunt groups and add the extension that need to ring that hunt group. That way the AA can pick up after 4 rings and cfna would still function on transfered call to the extension's vmail after 4 rings. I wish Notel would change the number of rings to a acutual timer measured in 1 second increments. On other systems that had this issue i would simply assign the AA to pickup at 24sec and the CFNA to 25. They never knew the difference. thanks for the help ~nails Im curious to see how others deal with this scenario, since i know im not the only one. ... am i ? | ||||||||
