Hello everyone

I have a problem accessing a BCM 400 (3.6). The only password
known by the customer ( a new customer with an existing unit) will only grant access to certain portions of programming.

For example, when I try to access the BRU, to set up a backup or restore ( 'not authorized' ).

Is there a way to default or find out the password for ee_admin as entering the BCM programming with the only known password, will not allow me to see or change passwords. I was told that I have to call Nortel, but I am curious if there is way to find out the passwords so that I can have full access to all programming.

Thanks in advance

Outsourcing Muchausen Syndrom as well I see....

skippy.

there are certain ways to find out passwords and reset them, but it would be foolish to publish them on this or any other forum, I suggest you contact Nortel or the previous maintainer.

The problem with contacting the previous contractor is that the two parties are at war and I doubt that they would give up the password to them or myself.

As far as contacting Nortel, I will have to do that evenually, but I was curious if there was a way to accomplish this without having to go to them.

BCM call center night modes

BCM 3.6 they removed the back door for retreiving passwords. At least that was what I was told last time I called Nortel. Luckily we found our password before it was too late.
So calling Nortel might not do any good. you may need to wipe it clean.
