Location: A telco building [Maybe 500 miles east of Tiverton, Ontario (CANADA)] Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I know these cards can be set up for LT or NT, and a telephone or termination device can be hooked up at an 'end user'. I have this radio station who has a 0X32 v6.1 with BRI lines. They use a lot of ISDN BRI equipment for remote shows and all. Before, they had a bunch of BRI lines for the phone system and a few dedicated BRIs for the remote broadcast equipment. Now I read somewhere that I could configure a U card to give an internal ISDN line to someone... how does one go about doing that? For example, as a generic question, let's say I have 2 U4 cards (16 lines), and I want to use the last loop for something like a M5317 or a M5000TD, can I set it up so it gives an internal line ala SL-1? Can a Norstar set call that M5317? See diagram.

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Johnny, Yes, the Norstar (CICS or MICS) can be an ISDN provider, basically providing an extension off the MICS/CICS to an ISDN Terminal Device such as what you are referring to. Look in the documentation at pages 73-75 of the MICS Installer Guide as this details what you are trying to accomplish. When programming the SPIDs, pay careful attention to the digit lengths and the amount of zero's required to "fill" for the DN length. Brewsky
