I have 7100 phones 1 programmable button, user claims used to be able to press button labeled out and then dial call never needing to dial 9.
Can one button access pool A and dial my 9 for me?
Maybe done through routes?
Unsure how to program.

just go to the line access screen of the extension you want to change and set prime line to pool A or what ever you want it to grab when you lift the handset.

Program the button as line pool access. Feature 64+Line Pool Code. Example: Feature 649

I have all sets assigned to prime line I/C so they can call each other. I also have the button programmed for line pool code 649 but this only gets me to the trunk, I still have to dial 9 because of the centrex. They did not have to do this before.
All they had to do is press the OUT button which I thought was the line pool access code button.
I was thinking some kind of external route?
A hotline of 9 will not let them call internally because it dials 9 as soon as you lift the handset.
HELP!!!

Try external autodial using just one 9, if that don't work, try two 9's.

I think you have already figured this out, you just don't know it yet.

First of all, YOU must physically go to the phone that the user says they do not have to dial 9 (for the centrex, not pool access) and try it yourself.
A pool access button (i.e. F649) cannot be programmed to "add" the 9 automatically.
The best way digits can be added or subtracted on a N* is via destination codes and routes.
The only other possibility that comes to my mind is that the line(s) that that phone accesses when the F64(9) button is pressed are either not centrex or improperly programmed (at the CO) centrex lines (no 9, which I personally have seen before). I wouold also be interested to know what the pool access codes are (in programming).
SO, check the phone yourself, watch the screen, observe and post back.

Program the button as an auto dial. Feat*1 press button, press 9, then feat 78 (inserts pause) then another 9. This should give you your line with the centrex 9 already dialed. Check it out and post back.

I think I understand now, they had a different system before and you're trying to get the N* to do the same thing. Ignore my previous post, see Brewsky and Ramjet's suggestions. Sorry
