Diary of a Nova Scotia Snow Shoveler

We have BCM 3.0 I have 30 phones, including two remote units. I've looked around a bit in your forum here, as i said, i'm brand new to this site, so go easy on my ignorance.

I've had the BCM for about 18 mos.

My question is this. We have two outgoing intercom buttons...and two incoming lines as well. A number of my users have requested a way that when they are either busy for whatever reason (NOT on the phone), and their phone is ringing, they don't want to answer it...is there a way to make some sort of button to hit to either just make it quit ringing then it would eventually go to voice mail OR hit said button to send it to voice mail now.

Thanks for any suggestions...and remember, i'm a user not a programmer.

Sorry.

Press your feature button then 85. This will put the phone in DND. To cancel the feature, press feature then #85.
Give that a try, and if it does what you want it to, it can be programmed to a key on the phone.

Thank you. You are both correct. If the DND button is pressed during an incoming call, there is a small sound and the phone quits ringing. However, then the DND is ON...and must be turned off, which, essentially would either need another button or the user would need to remember the #85 to turn it off. Either way, this is a solution.

Thanks for your quick response.

I'm saving this site in my favorites!!

One more quick note. If the DND feature is assigned to a button, the user can just press the button again to cancel the feature. They wouldn't need to remember any codes.

If you use Feature *3 to program a button as Feature 85 it will allow you to use one key to turn DND on and off.
