RE:

Just heard it was released TODAY. Advisory # 2004037804111662245, regarding the MSC card. Seems they have a tendancy to fail, like one of mine did today at a remote site. I looked for it on the website, but it is not listed there yet.

Indicators to this problem are. BCM is powered up, but phones just flash, with NDT. If you look at the BCM and click the MCR option, it will say cannot communicate to telephony side, try again. I have rebooted my BCM a few times, to no avail. I will continue to look on Nortels site so I can cut the advisory and post here. Good luck to all, I am waiting now for a counter to counter delivery, looks like it will be a long night again.

I have had this problem since day one with a couple of BCM's. Have to do a soft shut down and unplug the AC count to 15 and plug back in. Takes awhile for the mail to reload but the telephony side comes up pretty quick. Also you have to wait about 30 minutes to get back into switch.

I guess it's never too late to change careers...

Per my vendor, the advisory says to replace the card to a newer version?
Don't have too much faith in my vendor but that is another story in itself. In the process of replacing it now, I will let you know how it went.
