Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have a question that hopefully has an easy answer that I am just not seeing. We have an 8700 and one of my trunks is a PRI used for outbound calling, as well as inbound DID calls. When we use it for out bound calling, the outbound number that is displayed to caller ID is a non-existent number within our system. How can I change the outgoing displayed number to reflect our main number instead of this non-working number. I know the easy way is to make this nonworking DID number simply forward to our main number, but the number displayed to caller ID would still not be our listed main number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The command in earlier releases is "change isdn public" but it is different in each release. If that command gets you to the table, enter your extension length, the starting digit for your extensions (you need a different line item for each starting digit), leave trunk group field blank, the number you want displayed, and a length of 10. If your release does not support that command, it will be something similar. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks... Thank you very much for your prompt and extremely helpful reply. My release is s8700 G3xV12, software load release 12. For my release, the command was cha public-unknown-numbering. This got me to the table that you described, I entered everything in the tables just like you described. I then had to do one more step which was to cha tru (# of the one we use for inbound/outbound) and on the second page under trunk features, I changed send calling number from n to y. Once again I thank you for your help. ![]()

If you want some people to display their DID for direct call back enter their extension number in the starting digit field and leave that many digits off the number you want displayed. Their extension number will fill in the gap. There are many ways you can manipulate the outgoing display. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty
