What does affordable mean? I mean.. T1/E1's aren't exactly cheap.. and if you are working with that kind of interface, T1/E1 cards are like $1,000 each.. so if you are spending $500+ per month for a service, I don't see $3,000 being expensive for a complete and total enterprise level solution.

In other words, an Asterisk server + two dual T1/E1 cards will do what you want, and you can build it into "one nice unit."

oh i know i could use an asterisk server, my point was some sort of AIO plug and play gateway, where minimal configuration is required. more like a multiplexer i guess. i love asterisk, but there are some instances where i just need a quick solution... i like the audio codes but their 2-4 port units are expensive at up to 8 grand , lol and the only reason we can afford t1/e1 per month is because i try to save money on hardware

You are confusing me. Either you don't understand the complexity of T1s, or the ease of building an asterisk server. A quick look up finds the following:

Digium quad T1/E1 = $1,200 + shipping
Decent custom built computer = $500
- Core 2 Duo 3.16Ghz (6MB cache)
- 4GB PC6400 RAM
- 200GB SATA HD
- 500W P/S

So, for $1,700 (what, the price of 1 months of T1 bills?) you have your solution with the capabilities to do anything you set your mind to doing.

Talking Affordable Appliance Solutions

There is a relatively inexpensive solution to your question, manufactured by positrontelecom dot com in Canada and around half the price of similar solutions.

Looks interesting, the only problem is I 1) I don't see any prices.. so it's hard to say how competitive it is, and 2) what it is/or how it works...
