Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Asterisk with Nortel MICS Just finished installing an Asterisk server using Trixbox 2.2.4 between the Telco and a Nortel MICS system. I started with Nortel-Asterisk-0.2.pdf and it is a very good document to start with. It will help you find the information on your Nortel MICS using Nortels GUI admin software. Linked is the document of the modifications I had to go through to get it to work how I wanted. My main goals: 1) Seamless to Nortel MICS Extensions 2) Seamless to Asterisk Extensions 3) Full call reporting for external calls 4) Leave the Nortel MICS in a state that it could be hooked directly to Telco if anything went wrong Asterisk with Nortel MICS All goals have been completed and the system is working great.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | By no means am I a T1 expert, but did you follow the "Nortel-Asterisk-0.2.pdf" floating around the net.. The reason I ask, is the first thing I noticed is that yours is showing: Switchtype: Nortel DMS100 Which is what the PDF also shows, but you need to compare it to what your current PBX is set to. If it is set to DMS100, then ignore this information. Mine is set to: Switchtype: National ISDN Anyway, Quote:
Are you sure your cross-over cable is good? Can you verify the card is work by setting it up to connect to your Telco and verify that it is working with them? I pretty much idle on IRC (efnet) all day (cst), so if you can get on there look for me on #tod2
