Recommend a High Quality Asterisk Trunk Card?

Looking at setting up an asterisk Box again and I am looking for what businesses use for a high quality analog trunk card, just looking for 2 incoming right now.

Any suggestions? I have used some ebay specials and experienced dropped and hung calls and very low compatibility looking for the standard card that works well and has no issues, possibly a 2-4 incoming lines. I may use 2 analog incoming and a few sip outgoing...

Thanks for any suggestions you have.

I'm using Digium TDM400P cards in my commercial installs. Haven't really had any problems with them.. I did receive one with a bad module (they handle 1 - 4 FXS/FXO modules) but swapped it out and everything was fine. Setup can be a pain, but once you have them working, they work great.

Of course, the price isn't near what you probably paid offa ebay.. They are around $150 for 1 FXO port +$77 per additional FXO module.

I'm also hoping on getting some Rhino and Sangoma cards to test them out. The TDM400P doesn't have onboard echo cancellation (hasn't been an issue for me yet).. And I don't know their compatibility or difficulty of installation/configuration.

I have also used the generic $10 cards as well (not in production) and had good results. But, my understanding, is that they are VERY sensative to the connection. So, when installed at a different location, it was full of echo and out of control.. Brought it back home and it worked fine again. So they are totally not usable, but great for testing if you only need to make it work, not actually use it.

I still love the GXP-2000's even though there are quirks from time to time. People report them locking up, but I have NEVER seen them lock up on a normal day to day basis. The only issue we ever had was when an auto upgrade was pushed down from Grandstream, which was really our fault, because the phones shouldn't have been configured that way (wasn't me). Anyway, now we are using our own tftp server (on Asterisk) for updating firmware (very easy to setup with Trixbox), the phonebook, the 7 button settings, etc.

I think you will be very happy with the GXP-2000. Just be careful with Voipsupply.com if that is where you are ordering. I don't use them anymore. They tried to tell me the only way I could return the bad module from the TDM-400P was if I pulled the whole card out of the system and sent it back with the bad module. They tried to tell me that Digium requires the entire card back for warrenty service. Of course, when I contacted Digium, they said otherwise and are in the process of replacing my bad module. So, although atacomm.com has a slow RMA process, at least they actually do the RMA. Which is who I am using now.
