Rep Power: 0 ![]() | RE: CCNA Test When users told me this...I thought they were hallucinating. My users are not sophisticated, just precocious. They reported that when they had to reboot the PC in the middle of the day, the phone would re-boot too. Remember everybody, the PC is connected to the 10/100 switch in the phone. So.....I rebooted my PC, and guesswhat....the phone locks up, recycles and comes back on line. Bizarre! The bottom line is this; *You can make your Altigen phone reset itself by disconnecting or turning off anything connected to the 'pc' jack of the Altigen phone. So imagine this.....You're late to pick up the kids. You're talking to your boss on the phone and simultaneously packing up your laptop....and you hang up on your boss because you turned off your laptop. Come on Altigen.....ya gotta do better than this. Our Altigen distributor suggested installing $50 bestbuy switches and connecting the phone and PC to the switch, and connecting the switch to the cat5 wall outlet. Can you say Michael Mouse? j

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | alcatel My condolences to you on your choice of the Altigen system. We have it in our office, and when we moved, we ran 2 C6 jacks to each location for this very reason. A well known prob with this system. This thing is being implemented company wide now, and don't know how well it will work. One thing I notice is that it is very easy to misdial a number. It can't keep up with my fingers.
