Setting AltiGen at Home My company had an older Altigen system sitting for scrap, we have been on another phone system for quite some time, so while cleaning up I decided to drag this thing home to play with it, it fires up fine and I can login with no problem all boards are identified as well. As far as I remember we upgraded due to capacity and to merge into another vendor phone system when part of the company was bought. I have all the books and centronix type cables that go on the cards, I think the 12 port boards got pitched, but I can buy those and I got lucky while cleaning up a bunch of small stuff in boxes I found our key. Basically was I was wonder is there any way to set this thing up at my house as a test bed, I would like to revive it and run it for a while, figured I have read good stuff about it, and we may possibly drop it at a small location we acquired recently. I wasn't sure if there is a way I can hook it up to my house analog line as its outgoing connection, then setup voicemail and a few phones as a test environment first. Is that possible. Thanks, RJ. |
