It is up to the client to use any brand of IP Phone but AliGen doesn't support it. AltiGen recommends AltiGen IP Phone.

Thanks not realy what i wanted to here but i guess i will have to deal with it since i have 2 of these dam systems now

Bro, There's a polycom and siemens IP Phone model working in AltiGen system but since you have max 1000 with SIP i hope it would be the same if you try to use the polycom SIP Phone.

Great i will get a polycom and try it do you know if a cisco sip would work or do you think it is even worth trying

I'm not sure with the cisco, try to work on polycom first. i tried to used generic phone to work on AltiGen but it gives hard time mostly generic phone and cisco works on linux base phone system.

There are also some Aastra phones made for the Altigen. We haven't tried any other than the Altigen yet, but I noticed they were out there.
