Location: Brisbane Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Howdy All, We're looking to update our phone system at work, and have got several prices, of which, all took our breath away. The aged Commander BN (Commander is an Australian Re-branded Japanese Brand of PABX, about 20 years old) has been working fine for Many years, but its time to update we need to be able to offer voice mail and after hours call routing. This is what we would like to do and I would love to hear from anyone about there thoughts on it. The Aged BN1264 has really had its day, the MOH port no longer works, most of the handsets have various problems, it works, but we need more. I've been looking around for a while trying to figure out what would the best way to go, and recently several nice simple systems have popped up on various sites going for reasonable amounts of money. The current system setup is as follows BN Commander 4 Phone Analog Lines 1 GSM Line (Via GSM Gateway) 12 Handsets I want to add in Voice Mail, Auto Attendant, Least Cost Routing and Call Recording for the following During the day, Calls get directed to the Switch, where upon answering the calls then get sent out to the various field phones. If those phones are not answered they get a choice to leave a message or get diverted to the persons mobile phone (via the GSM Gateway) After hours, the calls get diverted to whom ever is on call. During the day and night, any calls that come in or go out will be switched through the PABX, currently there is a patch panel that duplicates all of the lines, and I think we are exceeding our REN count for some of the lines (FAX/MODEMS!/PABX/Other Phone Equipment) And at all times the calls get recorded, so anything that is said can and will be used against you (!!) both for incoming and outgoing calls. I've been looking at second hand Samsung DCS 25/70/100 systems as they seem to do everything that I am asking for plus have the ability to have PRI/BRI Cards installed into them, so if we need more lines, rather than getting T$lstra (National Telco) to install more lead in lines into the premises, we can simply multiply the amount of lines by putting ISDN into the site. (Does anyone have any software/programming/installation manuals for the DCS70/25 Series of Systems? I would be greatful for ANY MANUALS or Software, I've been asking dealers and they say that the DCS Series is no longer supported, but I've only asked 2 So far, and they insisted that I get a rep to come out to talk about an upgrade...) We dont have a lot of money to spend, I've been tooling with voip for a while, but simply dont have the time to keep another box running on the network,. So if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Mark Australia | ||||||||
