Hi All,

the FQN of my server was changed (from servername.dom1.domain.com to servername.domain.com) and after that I get following errors:

org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: java.net.UnknownHostException: servername.dom1.domain.com minor code: 1330577422 completed: No
at com.ooc.OCI.IIOP.impl.Connector.<init>(Connecto r.java:414)
at com.ooc.OCI.IIOP.impl.ConFactory.create(ConFactory .java:57)
at com.ooc.OCI.IIOP.impl.ConFactory.create_with_polic ies(ConFactory.java:71)
at com.ooc.CORBA.ORB._OB_changeDelegate(ORB.java:999)

Additionally Alarms application doesn't work. I guess I should change the server name somewhere, but I have no idea where. Any ideas?

Can you try to put the old name in the windows hosts file? Is possible to change the domain suffix, to use the old one?

There is another way to make the change, 1. Change the name to the old one 2. Start the system normally, and make a full backup in 4760 3. Uninstall the 4760 SW 4. Change the server name 5. Install the 4760 SW 6. Change the .ini configuration file on the backup (the new name server) 7. Restore the backup.
