Cancelling Automatic CallBack

Hi guys, I need help on disabling the automatic callback. I have tried disabling it through the Phone features Class of Service in the Class of service, but still the automatic callback features still there. I even tried cancelling the prefix and voice prompt and still it shows the callback features.

This problem render me unable to integrate the Alcatel OXE with the third party Voice Mail system. I was told by the supplier that I need to find a way to cancel this feature. Otherwise the voice mail will detect it as answered tone instead of busy or no answer tone. Something to do with the inband thrown out from the PBX.

Can I get some help on this issue ? And perhaps a step by step guide so that I can get this problem solved ? My previous engineer couldn't solve this problem and i'm now in the customer's hot soup.

Hello !
I am also facing this problem, when I apply call back from any extension and after that I want to cancel callback, I am unable to do so. Not only me but all extensions those are analog are having same behavior. Is this a fault which is not removeable.

For cancelling the automatic call back, make sure the other party picks them up. Otherwise the automatic call back will keep ringing back to the person. To cancel it, one way you can do is to memory reinitialise the extension. But of course, don't do it too often as it will damage the card.

If still can't then you will need to check the automatic callback features prefix ? Check and see if there's a prefix you can use to disable the automatic callback. If there's none then you will need to try restarting the system.

Automatic callback can be quite a pain in ass if it's not used properly. I have customers often having this kind of problem and in the end we are forced to disable them to minimise the problem.

If i'm not mistaken, older release will have such problems. For release 6 onwards, this bug has been fixed. May I know what release you are using for your system ?

Swt, then you are posting them at the wrong place.

And yes, I forgot to mention the features disable. That's what I did for one of the customer for third party voice mail integrations.

Thanks for the reply though. This thread was posted quite a while ago.xD
