Need help to set up for external voicemail and fax server - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

need advise on steps how to set up Voicemail pilot group to connect to external voicemail/fax server using in-band DTMF integration on analogue extension.

I have tried to set up the extensions 5671-5678 (fax extensions for fax) divert to 5801, where i set 5801 as an Voicemail unit. I'm not sure what went wrong as there is no DTMF send out. the voicemail did answer and play greeting though but no DTMF pattern found hence external fax server/voicemail didn't work as it suppose to...

This is my first time setup for external voicemail/fax server, i probably get it wrong or missing some setting here.

anyone advise would be very appreciated.

What is the connection type between the Alcatel and the external fax server/voicemail, and what is the product that you are using as external fax server/voicemail.
