Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Faults on NMC Fault Monitor Ah, it's good to be back Hello everyone! Unfortunately I have a bunch of questiones. My system is working good for the moment, but these things have been bothering me for some time...since I've never had proper Alcatel training. You can call me a survivor Fault monitoring app is giving me following faults: 1. Critical, Notification identifier: (forgot to write it down) - storage capacity problem, C:\NMC\BIN\... ...\LOG\NMC-FM\current-date.log File error: Disk space limit 'critical alarm' reached. - OK, I understand I don't have much space left, but C: drive is FAT on Win98SE so is only 2GB, and now I have about 330MB of free space left. There I have windows files, NMC files and that's mostly it... in NMC\BIN folder the largest files are Ac5base.log (340MB) and Ac5base.db (480MB). I have more partitions on this drive with plenty of free space, and now I wonder what can I do to prevent this error from popping up a few times a day. I have also noticed that log files in ...\LOG\NMC-FM and ...\NMC-GCS are 0kb files, empty... and I don't like that... 2. MAJOR , From App. LOADER , Notification ID:0000 , 84 percent of drive C: full (337 Mb fre) - yeah, the Ticket Loader is complaining also... so how can I free more space on C: , because I remember that a year ago I didn't have such faults bothering me. The system is up and running for more than 6 years now. Now a few INDETERMINATE ones, as NMC likes to it.. 3. Notif. ID:01680 Applicative error 9 type, INFOS 1005,1 - it's happening daily, but I have no idea what it is. I suppose it's nothing serious 4. Notif.ID:01683 Too long processing time, eqt 1758, time 5100, PC 0x0043bb84 - eqt and time values change, of course (i think it's of course) but it puzzles me, because it happens fairly often, especially when I am having problems with a certain trunk to outside world...(but that trunk story I'll keep for some other thread) 5. Notif.ID:01721 Phone exc, PC 0x003deef8 neqt 193 - both PC and neqt value change from error to error... I have no idea what could it mean. Please, I would greatly appreciate if someone can clarify this, or maybe point me in right direction. Perfect solution would be Fault Monitor instruction manual with all the faults explained (if it exists Thank you for reading this post till the end

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | well first of all some introduction... 4740 is an old application and was phased out few years ago. That means no support, no pathes etc. now strict to the questions. About 1 and 2 - it is a problem of a free space on HD of a PC where 4740 is installed. Just get some free space - delete olt tickets, run DB maintenance. Or copy Ac5base.log and Ac5base.db to an other place and reinstall 4740 on another HD. Concerning 3,4 and 5 - these are incidents coming from PABX. It could be some serious problems or just a situation which CPU could not handle properly. Give it a try.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Thanks Murzilla. I am aware that this app is outdated, but is all I have at the moment. My company is thinking of upgrading, and they are thinking and thinking... well, you can guess ![]() Do you maybe have some documentation describing instalation of 4740, as I've never ever did it? Just in case that I will need to do it...
