Unhappy Alcatel 4400 OPS trouble

Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone's ever had the same problem. I've got a R6.1-f2.500-6-i-gr-c6s2 alcatel 4400. When I try to get an OPS backup on the CPU, I get the following:

Confirm the backup of OPS files on your cpu disk (y/n, default y): y
Warning board 0-6: OPS, missing options at line 70
Warning board 0-20: OPS, missing options at line 136
Warning rack 19: unknown OPS shelf type found
ops 2.0.2: operation successful
Updating hardware.mao according to data base ok
Copying software.mao into gt06706a.swk
Copying hardware.mao into gt06706a.hw
Copying gt06706a.zip
Copying gt0670aa.sw4760 into gt06706a.sw4760
Copying hardware.mao
Copying hardware.old
Creating ops.lis

when i get the ops backup using ftp to my pc, the gt06706a.zip is corrupted every time. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chrysostomos

Which means that your OPS could be corrupted or either your hard disk that stores the OPS file could be corrupted as well. Try restore or redump back your OPS files from a diskette. And also it's not advisable to copy OPS files through FTP as it's not safe and some files tend to go missing as well. Diskettes still the best though.

Becare, i think backing up OPS file isnt councils... may datas backup should be done also and if the old configuration doesn't checked the actual it mays be pull off your PBX. I often played only OPS files and systems kernel.
Anyway... it depends type of your guests... mine would be too anger than me.. (i want to keep my head) (They ever got my short)

Anyway, care with ftp transfear. For some files as OPS files, ftp should be changed in bin mode (just type BIN in ftp console, by default, ftp mode is ASCII) then... you're files wont be corrupted (only if is was really corrupted by transfear).. Just an idea.

If ftp is unreliable, how do you think 4760 backups transfer data?

Never had a problem using Leech ftp / Filezilla ftp clients.

i mean that FTP protocol should be managed in order to not changed data during transfear. Binary mode is required you manually engaged ftp session.
Just type bin or ascii to change mode under linux systems.
and, just know that applications you use (filezilla, leech blabla) use this kind of ftp mode to transmit over ftp proto.

Do you understand?

you can use swinst command backup the ops again, and try to download the ops file .if fault , it say the your database is destruct.you may ask your bp to resent the ops file for you.
