Red face Omnivista4760 /cmise Problem

I have a MAJOR problem with my PBX4400. The server which has Omnivista4760 is really messed up. Every time I log on and try to click on configuration but it takes ages to get goin or it crashes and I have to end task. A few times it has a message which says

"CMISE ERROR: communication problem"

please advice!!!

Basic stuff first...

Is the ethernet connection good, can you ping between them?
If good, try a reboot of the 4760 server.
Has the ftp password been changed on the pbx?, If so 4760 needs modifying.
Has the PC name been changed, if so try changing it back.
Basically the there is no communication of data between the equipment at the moment.
