Monitoring an A4400 via SNMP

Hi,

our organization uses an Ipsiwtch WhatsUP monitoring solution to monitor our infrastructure. I am investigating the possibilty to monitor our a4400 PBX for failures. Any idea how this can be achieved? I have tried to find where I can enter the IP address of the SNMP management station and the relevant community string so traps can be sent from the pbx to our Whatsup machine with no success. Anyone has this in place or can guide me on how to do it?

Regards,

Tonio

Sending SNMP traps in OXE is licensed (key 153).
If license is opened then SNMP traps receiver is configured in Applications/Incidents Manager/SNMP supervisor

Hello Tonio, we also use Whatsup and we have a4400 PBX. Do you know how can I setup the SNMP Community in the PBX so I can retrieve information from it ?

Best regards,

Gaston

Except from the fact that it is license you should also contact Alcatel in order to get some specific files which should be imported in the SNMP server. These files will assist you in understanding what each error means (it is like a summary file for each error)
