Question OmniPCX Office Small CPU-2 installer password

Hi all

I have an OmniPCX Office Small with a CPU-2 in it. Seems like an early version of software (3.x I think - circa 2005).

It was originally installed by an Alcatel BP who are long since gone, and has been sat in a cupboard with a stack of handsets.

I've decided to try and get it running - no problems apart from I can't access Expert mode in PM5 (via LAN) - wrong password reported when I tried the default one.

I can log in as admin with the k******7 standard password, but the installer password has been changed at some time in the past.

This means there is very little I can actually do

Please can anyone advise me on the following assumptions, gained by reading around a couple of forums:

1. Am I right in thinking that the installer password can only be reset by knowing the manufacturer password (very much welcomed by PM if anyone actually has this) or by cold reset?

2. Cold reset can only be achieved by using Expert access - and using the advanced hand-set doesn't give me access to operator, admin or installer - display says 'impossible'. Is there any other way of doing a cold reset? Perhaps hardware switches or holding a button down during power on?

3. If a cold reset can't be achieved then the firmware has to be reloaded using LoLa - but how does one get this (and a copy of the correct software for my licenses numbers) without being a Business Partner?

Many thanks for any advice
