Transfer call directly to voice mail of other user

I am using an Alcatel OmniPCX Office system with Premium Reflexes 4020 terminals. Is there some way of transferring calls that I have answered directly to the voice mail of a colleague? At the moment, to allow someone the opportunity of leaving a message on a colleague's phone, I just have to wait as that colleague's phone rings, even when I know he/she will not answer. This is annoying me, especially as half the time somebody else will hear the phone ring and pick up the call from another terminal, thereby starting the process again.

I have read the fine manual and there is no reference to this operation.

First It works since Rel 4.0.
Which SW version do you have?
Second before you can use it it should be enable i.e. you should create "Transfer to VMU" in "Features in conversation"

I am using 4.4 for Pimphony, not too sure about the system side. In Pimphony, it says Alcatel TAPI Service Provider 5.0.78.001 and Interface Version for Call Handling and CSTA of 5.0.

How do I access the "Features in Conversation" part of the system? I am the "near-expert user" in a small company and whilst the system was initially set up professionally, any tweaking tends to be left to me.

Thanks again.

I meant "system side" SW version. Versions you supplied do not identify system release.
Anyway to read SW version and create "Transfer to VMU" you should have PM5 configuration software. All OXOs are supplied with CD which contains PM5.Look around for that CD or ask your supplier for it.

OK, I have the CD of PM5. I have installed PM5EasyPlus. If I click on Help, it says "Configuration Program for the PBX Systems OMNIPCX 20/8/2003 18:00:25 [a serial no.] PMI210/24.0".

Now, I know this isn't directly saying what the system software is but it is perhaps indicative.

Any way of doing this through the Man Machine Conversation (MMC) interface? I can remember the password for that interface, which helps.

EDIT: I have found the PM5 password and am in touch with the system!

Many thanks for your help so far.

EDIT2: OK, software is 2.007 for the CPU and "Mixed" boards and 3.007 for the UA Reflexes board. I assume this is therefore too old to support the feature I am looking for.

How disappointing! I really thought "there has to be a way of doing this". It seems I was wrong.

Thanks anyway for your patient help, murzilla.

It aint over till its over...
Looks like you look in a wrong place.
CPU version 2.007 is a hardware edition of a CPU board!
SW version of system itself is in Data saving & Swapping\Sw-downloading
Under "Running version" you will see the line sth like 3EH30362CDAAALZ<country code>410/023.005.
SW version is after ALZ<country code>.
In my case it is 410 i.e 4.1, 023.005 - minor version.

210/031.006 I'm afraid.

I'm finding it hard to understand the various features of the system controlled through PM5 - the docs are pretty terse and there ain't no source code.

So now it is sure SW version is 2.1
Yes it is not easy to run OXO immediately without any training or previuos experience.I would say that technical documenattion (I mean that PDF volume of 1200+ pages) is pretty good.
