| ATA for M2616 installed-working!! I guess if you rip, tear and bang around on something long enough you figure it out. To begin with, the M2616 ATA came with a wall transformer that has a 5-pin mini-DIN plug connecting directly to the ATA board - not through a 6 wire phone cord. It is the type of set I was working with that gave me the trouble. Not sure if this is a proper ID method as a rule but the sets with 1/2 a PC board with the keypad separate work. Those that have one board throughout the width of the phone and has the squiggle keypad traces on the flip side don't. I believe these are considered Type II sets. I went to our stock room, grabbed 5 sets and tried in each. When I found one that worked, I took the backs off of it and one that didn't and made this rather un-technical observation. Thanks for the effort though, aiken! Last edited by telcoDave; 08-17-2006 at 03:50 PM. |
