When a call come in it is transferred to an outside number and the calls remain on the Toshiba according to the provider. The Toshiba disconnects both lines after 5 min. The provider says the Toshiba is not 'releasing' the lines and therefore the transfer is not happening on their end. Ideally the incoming and outgoing calls are released or passed back to the provider so there is no timeout and two trunk lines are not tied up. I do not know what if anything the Toshiba is or is not providing to hand off the calls to the provider. The tech who has been back 4 times to get the system up and running is not reliable enough for the client and he's stated that it's an issue with the provider and not the Toshiba or his programming. I'd assume a timeout setting somewhere in the Toshiba could be modified but it is preferred that the transferred calls are connected via the providers switches. I do not know how this takes place on the Toshiba.
I dont know if this will help but I know that the Toshiba has the 2 B transfer option if you are using a PRI. If you are using POTS lines from The provider, Sometimes they dont send a disconnect tone. I ran into this in a small city next to Houston where the provider started using a "residential" CO switch for businesses. This caused problems because they use voltage spikes to disconnect and were not sending it. We had to show the tech on a multimeter they were not sending the correct voltage.
