Let's get this out of the way - I don't know. Refering to the forwarding post from today, I think it would be worth trying what you eluded to. I know you can activate a set (e.g. 225), and have 225 be an answer DN on some other set, then unplug 225. So why don't you try that (with 225 being the overflow set with the mailbox). An answer dn can only appear and ring or ring only, so there would be ringing, but you would not have a physical set. There are no "phantom dn's" in Norstarland. You would be taking up a valid dn, if the issue is that you are almost out of available extensions. A sure fire bet would be (as I said in the other post) get them to spring for a lousy 7100 set and mount it in your phone room with the ringer turned down. Done.
