The pic was taken last year at the yearly "westerfest". What is "westerfest"? you ask? A couple of brothers decided to have a birthday party a few years back. They invited a few friends to come down to their lakehouse and enjoy the band they had invited. It was a lotta fun ( I just heard about that one). The next year they did it again but made it a LOT bigger. Each year it getts bigger and better. Since one of the brothers has a company that does something with theatrical productions they have easy access to stages, lights and all the goodies. Last year the bands start at ~12:00 noon and play thru 1:00 am. They supply the music, the porta-pottys and allow you to set up tents in their yard. Drinking is allowed / encouraged. They have grills outside you can use and a pool table or two set up also. Kids are allowed until sundown. You are encouraged to sleep their on their lawn so you don't drive. Boaters come by water and set up in front of the area and have an excellent view and the water is only ~5 to 6 feet deep where they anchor so getting to shore is easy.

So, free ~13 hours of music, a lot of excellent views, a place to hang out... not a bad deal!

The last couple of years they have not announced when they would have the party until 1 to 2 weeks before the party. It had gotten "oversized" and they had folks coming from several other states to also enjoy the fun. Just trying to keep the size under control. The guy in the pic played the guitar very good. I was wandering around in the crowd taking pics of folks when I saw this guy with a guitar wandering around. At first I thought it was a "wanna-be" guitar player until I realized he has a transmitter attached and this was the guy I was listening to. He wandered all over the place, mingling and having fun playing.
