5 - Sounds like a joke I heard about 20 odd years ago when I was little kid.
8 - Most tailerable boats that I've seen don't draft deep enough to the point where somebody wouldn't notice the trailer right away - also there is usually the winch part that sticks up and cradles the bow that should be obvious during a 'topside' inspection. Snopes rates this one as a blonde joke but does mention that a bayliner rep told a real story where this happend but nobody needed to go under water as the license plate was visible underwater. |
