| Are the 800 calls using bogus CLID? I've had a few from numbers like 805-000-0000 that get through, not exactly legal but the CLID thing is an area of the telco that is out of control at the moment. Why even have a home phone line these days? I have one with no phone connected to it that serves simply as a BTN for the DSL service. The VoIP providers are a hit and miss deal it seems, some folks swear by them while others swear at them; one of them (who shall remain nameless) had an issue out here where a lot of calls were going to 911 supposedly from homes but there was nobody home when the calls were made. |
