| Many years ago I started my career working in the Central Office on the Frame. For those of you that have not had that experience, the Frame is the last point of contact before circuits leave the CO to the outside world and you run wire on both sides of this device. We had a picture on the wall of a Frame in New York that was so bad a new one had to be built to replace it. On one side of the Frame are horizontal racks and this Frame was so bad that you could not see any of the horizontal racks. To get from one side to the other you used a pole like a broom handle and pushed, or hammered, a hole through the wire mess to run your cross connect. This, of course, caused other problems, but hey, your cross connect was in. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty |
