It has been thrust upon me to learn as much as I can about VOIP and these remote pim's. We have offices in Bangkok, Tipae and hong kong. You can imagine the phone bill. Our PBX is currently being upgraded so we can utilize these reomte pim's. I have one at my desk and have a cheat sheet [sort of] to config it. I have made a hyper link connection to the remote pim as it was configured a year ago. The network admin says it is mostly configured except we changed our IP address since then. Do I go into Matworx to make these changes? The remote pim has 6 cards in it. 4 look the same and 2 look different. I think the main card has what is called a sense wheel in it. I wasn't privy to the class taught by the NEC rep so I am just scraping by. The network admin says I should be able to make a call across the internet, back into our pbx and to my coworkers phone. I have the remote pim connected to the network and also have a "Mat" cable attached to the remote pim and it has an available phone line to plug into my phone. I have a dterm I series with display. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Fire away!
